The Spirit of Christmas

One of the things that we try to teach our students at Alameda Christian School is the importance of giving back to our community and sharing the blessings God has given us.  So today, as is our tradition, we walked over to Water’s Edge Nursing Home on Blanding to sing for the residents.  Mrs. Sankey led the students  as they sang six Christmas carols including “Joy to the World” and “Away in a Manger,” ending with the old standard, “We Wish You a Merry Christmas.”  The entire student body recited the Christmas story from Luke 2:1-20 and distributed handmade cards to the members of the audience.  It was a wonderful time of giving and receiving… in the true spirit of Christmas!
